Designer at Acotel, telecommunications company. Responsible for client-side accessible website design, mobile interface design, ads, brochures, business cards and identity design.

2002–2003 Rome, Italy

Freelance designer. Clients: Food and Agriculture Organization (biotech focused LAN website; identity; iconography), World Health Organization (water law and standards focused website stylesheet), Amimar Marble (logotype), Aurelia Gardens Hotel (website, photography), American Overseas School of Rome (AOSR) (printed publications), European League for Middle Level Education (advertising).

Self-taught in graphic design and standards-based web design. Champion of utmost clarity and simplicity.

1996–1999 UK

BA (Hons) Creative Advertising degree from Bournemouth University. Main focus was development of creative thinking and skills needed to devise successful multi-media advertising campaigns. i.e. copywriting and art direction. // City & Guilds Diploma with Distinction in Beginning Photography course at Bournemouth and Poole College of Art & Design.

Computers (Macintosh preferred, Mac/PC expert), cameras (digital photography and workflow expert), Photoshop (expert), Freehand, Illustrator, QuarkXpress, InDesign, Textmate. Sharp in HTML and CSS, like a samurai. Working knowledge of PHP and MySQL, JavaScript and dynamic publishing systems. Web standards advocate and lover of the internet. Currently studying Python and the Django web framework.

Travels

Apart from living all over Brazil, in Tunisia, in Italy, in the UK and the USA, visited Belgium, Canada, France, The Netherlands, Greece, Malta, Norway, Spain and Switzerland. Completed the ancient voyage of Santiago de Compostela in 1999 after food-poisoning and much cursing of several saints.
