Apple /// Horses Demo

Andy Hertzfeld, one of the creators of the Macintosh computer:

Someone disassembled and recreated an Apple /// demo that I wrote in early 1980, the colorful “Running Horses” demo that was used as part of the launch. It used images originally created by Eadweard Muybridge in 1878.

Observer Eye and 10 Print Code

Two new computer-related designs in the merch shop:

  1. Observer Eye Symbol in the Miscellaneous Technical Unicode block, made in 2015. It is a profile view of an eye representing the act of observation. The pupil also looks a bit like a radio antenna.

  2. 10 Print Code, a classic one-line Commodore 64 BASIC program that generates random labyrinths. Read a lot more about it in this book. 10 PRINT CHR$(205.5+RND(1)); : GOTO 10
