Best Cessna 152 for Microsoft Flight Simulator
It’s the free WBSim C-152 mod that adds the following to the lovely default airplane in MSFS 2020 and 2024, the classic Cessna Model 152 (FAQ), featuring:
- Openable doors, windows, and sun screens.
- Light switches and dimmable lights.
- Autopilot.
- Distance measuring equipment (DME).
- An automatic direction finder (ADF).
- GPS, if you have the GTN 750 installed.
- Tail-dragger and faired wheel versions of the C-152.
- Engine wear modelling and more detailed start-up sequence.
- Button to do the whole start-up sequence for you.
- In-cockpit iPad to set all of the above options.
- Vintage and worn livery packs (for 2020, have not tried these in 2024 yet).
This mod puts the C-152 on the top of the list of Microsoft Flight Simulator airplanes for own multi-sim around the world trip.
If I were a boss at Asobo Studios I’d offer to hire the makers of the WBSim C-152 mod, or implement their changes into the default sim and give them credit. It is that good.
