HyperTextHero Flies Around The World

This is an ongoing plan for a flight around this world using simulated flying things like airplanes and other things in Microsoft Flight Simulator, among other sims.

  1. A circumnavigation of planet Earth passing through at least two antipodes, using various aircraft, primarily small single-engine general aviation (GA) aeroplanes, but also twins, warbirds, and even the occasional jet.
  2. Use tools like Littlenavmap for planning, and record completed legs on an open source map interface, probably using Leaflet, published here at HyperTextHero with links to notes, tracks, and images from the trip.
  3. Publish the entire endeavour on a sequential playlist with episode numbers on the HyperTextHero YouTube channel.

This journey, a recurring dream of sailors and aviators, will take time and be long, and you’re very welcome to come along! When flying in MS Flight Sim the Landing Guesstimator will be activated.
