One of the most valuable benefits of learning to draw is the restorative effect of the time spent engaged in drawing. Once you have shifted to the “drawing” state of mind, the verbal brain hemisphere will be quiet while you draw. When the drawing is finished, you will return to your usual verbal state of mind refreshed and rested.
